remorse & grief

Two of the teens nabbed in the Long Island turkey-tossing stunt that critically injured a motorist are devastated and praying for the victim, their parents said yesterday.
"She has sat in her room crying for two days. She is so upset," Kenny Dorsa, father of 17-year-old Rachel MacDonald, told the Daily News yesterday.

MacDonald was a passenger in the car when Ryan Cushing allegedly hurled the 20-pound bird through an oncoming vehicle's windshield last weekend.

MacDonald, who was riding in the front seat, told police that Cushing, 18, said, "Oh, my God. I hit it with the turkey" after the toss.

"Rachel didn't have anything to do with it, nothing to do with anything being thrown out the window," Dorsa said. "We're all very sorry for what happened for the woman."

The victim, Victoria Ruvolo, 44, was in critical but stable condition yesterday at Stony Brook University Hospital, a spokesman said. Ruvolo, who underwent extensive surgery to reconstruct her shattered face and neck, has been conscious since Friday.

"It's just really hard right now," said the victim's sister, who did not want her name used.

MacDonald was arrested for forgery after she told police she signed the charge slip from a stolen credit card that the teens used to buy $170 worth of food, including the turkey, at Waldbaum's.

It was Steven Manzolina, 17, who stole the credit card out of a parked car at the Island 16 multiplex in Holtsville, cops said.

"He's heartbroken," his mother, Linda Manzolina, said yesterday. "All of them wish this never happened."

"Our prayers are with the victim and her family," she added. "Our thoughts and prayers are with them all. We are praying for them."

Linda Manzolina said her son, who is charged with grand larceny, is "full of grief" and "remorseful."

She said the family is deciding when Manzolina will go back to Newfield High School, where he is a senior.

In all, six teens were arrested in the bizarre incident, including Cushing, who has pleaded not guilty to first-degree assault and reckless-endangerment charges.

"No one wanted this to happen, and our thoughts and prayers are to everyone," Linda Manzolina said. "We're concentrating on the woman's wellness."

wat up just got home from new york it wat tight i wanted to stay till next sunday cus i was have fun out there an i wanted to stay 4 thanksgiving but again i got held back. but wat ever but i was tight the hole time i was out i was paintballin we made a nice paint ball feild in the middle of the woods it was tight cus there was broke down cars out ther so it was easy to make bunkers.but ya welll g2g l8 hope i didnt miss anything

hey wat up allu crazzy cats out there.... ya life is a funny thing u never can really do much right u try and do 1 thing right u will always have people hate on u u try to b ur self u will have people hate on u wtf so i had to shave my hok offf and take out my earings and i had to get my room changed all because off people hateing on me because i was different because i had my own thing goin and almost 5 years into my room 4 years stretchin my ears and doin my own thin all my life and it was all f ing changed in tha matter of f ing moments how do u do something that inhumane to someone. u want to no y cus people suck and thay judge u by tha way u look and not by tha way thats on tha inside. and theres 1 person that says i dont care about her and wat she think just cus we broke up and that is f ing stupid.... but wat ever u can think that if u want no one can stop u but go ahead believe in a lie... wat ever sooo any ways i am goin to new york 4 a week i am leavin tomarrow soo ya wat ever g2g l8

heyyy wat up it was my 17th birthday yesterday it was ok it started off great heather stacey and laura comin over wen i was asleep and tped my room and woke up to silly sring lots of it then went to mc e dss then toook stacey to her last day of driving school then just drove around ooo ya and went off roading next to laura's new apt and my head almost went through my window ya then me andrew nd dane went mall hopin nd lookin 4 a stero 4 my car nd ya there was this party 4 this 10 year old girl next to heathers moms and she had a jamba juice caterer and a food caterer and a humungo water slide sooo u no me andrew dane heather and jamie stopped by and grubbed it was cool ooo ya they also had a fountin off chocolate geeezzzz. l8r that night we all went to the spot and got denied and ya wat ever and moore stuff happen but to tired too type soo ganna goo l8
